Hi! I’m a PhD student in Keith Butler’s group at UCL, where I work in AI for Materials science.
Most of my time goes into improving autoregressive models for crystal structure generation. The model `learns’ the language of Crystallographic Information Files (CIFs) to generate them, and you can inject conditioning information to guide model outputs. For example, that could be with a band gap, a density or an X-ray diffraction pattern. It’s all open source, so feel free to check out code, the models and datasets or the web app.
I’m generally interested in deep learning for renewable energy applications, coming from a physical and computational chemistry background.
Having grown up between Tokyo, New York, Paris and London, I love exploring new places, like travelling or hiking abroad and closer to home. Outside of work, I also enjoy cooking, often trying to recreate interesting dishes I’ve tasted or seen online, as well as playing racket sports, football, and rock climbing.
